Stephanie B. Johnson, MN, APRN, FNP-C

Stephanie has over 20 years of experience providing patient care. She is a native of south Louisiana and moved with her family to the High Country in 2019. Her career started in pediatric and adult oncology and palliative medicine. Over the years, her interest in wellness and a more functional approach to care grew while helping her patients optimize their quality of life. With a focus on building meaningful relationships, Stephanie provides compassionate and personalized care that goes beyond just treating symptoms.

Donna Tate, FNP-BC

Donna is a Watauga County native and a 1985 graduate of Watauga High School. She earned her BSN from Winston-Salem State University and her MSN from East Tennessee State University and is board certified in family practice by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. With over 20 years of experience in primary care, family medicine, and hospice/palliative care, Donna is excited to bring functional medicine and hormone optimization to her hometown. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family—especially her grandchildren—vacationing at the beach, and gardening.

Julie Kaufman, Practice Manager

Julie has a diverse background in the medical and public service industries, with experience in medical research, patient care, and executive leadership in the nonprofit sector. She holds a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science and a diploma in Medical Billing and Coding. A native of Boone, she returned to the area in 2023, where she now lives with her partner, David, and their dog, Finley.
